Mission

The Sigma Commercial Companies delivers high-quality products to our clients, on time and at a fair price. In order to achieve our mission, we are guided by the following Code of Ethics:

Code of Ethics

• Service – When a problem arises, we do not leave for the day until the problem is remedied or we have given the client a clear understanding of the steps we are going to take to solve the issue.
• Safety – Work stops until conditions are safe. This policy keeps our team members, clients, vendors, and property out of harm’s way, and is the only way we operate.
• Excellence – We will not produce a subpar product. We strive for excellence not only because it is what our customers expect, but also because less warranty work means we can be profitable at a lower margin, winning more work. Our companies will always try to meet or exceed the specifications.
• Employees – We treat our employees well. Our employees are our biggest asset. Providing competitive pay and wages is nonnegotiable. We believe in having the best technology, premium office furniture in a beautiful setting, and a door is always open to senior management approach. Management will cut their salaries before any layoffs would occur due to a shortage of work.
• Honor – Follow the law, live and do business by the “Golden Rule” – do unto others as you would have them do unto you – and leave the community better than we found it. This guiding principle is also expected of our vendors.
• Fairness – Clients will all be quoted or billed at the same margin based on their pricing tier. Our tenet of Fairness extends to our vendors as well. Many of our vendors have been with us since the start of our business. We respect our vendors and their requirement to pay a living wage and make a reasonable profit, but expect they are providing their service at the most affordable price they can so that our clients are getting the best deal based on our fixed markup policy.
• Pricing – We believe in transparent pricing. The price you are quoted is the price you will pay unless your order is changed; in which event we will prepare written change orders. Our proposals are all inclusive based on the information we were given. Changes are not a profit center for our company and we will never quote a job at a lower price to win work with the expectations or knowledge that change orders will occur to make a profit from.
• Politics – None of our companies will take a political stance or make a political donation unless the business is directly involved in an industry where our business is threatened by legislation or the election of a candidate.
• Sourcing – We make our best efforts to source products from companies who share our values. When possible, we buy locally and try our best to support other small- and medium-sized American businesses. To the extent possible given availability and price, we buy locally to keep our dollars in our community, with reduced emissions from shipping as a welcome byproduct.
